The first Mann S40ME-B machine came out in Korea

The first Mann S40ME-B machine manufactured by Korea's STX Heavy Industries Changwon Plant recently passed the type approval test.

It is reported that a series of 25,000-ton multi-purpose vessels built by China Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. will use the S40ME-B, including the first machine completed this time. At 146 rpm, the machine has an output of 6810 kW, an average effective pressure of 21 bar and a stroke-to-bore ratio of 4.4, which meets the latest US Environmental Protection Agency Tier2 emission requirements.
