Shandong Tire International Chamber of Commerce is located in Guangrao County. The county is an important national rubber tire production and export base, a national auto parts export base and a friction material R&D and manufacturing base, and a Shandong province high-quality rubber tire production base.
Tire industry is an advantageous industry in Guangrao County. In 2011, the local tire export volume reached US$2.595 billion, accounting for 16.9% of the total exports of similar products in the country. At present, Guangrao County has a total tire production capacity of 140 million pieces/year. Among them, the production capacity of radial tires is 110 million pieces/year. After all the projects under construction are completed, the production capacity of radial tires will reach 200 million pieces/year.

In 2011, radial tire production in Shandong accounted for nearly 39.3% of the national total. All-steel radial tires accounted for 50.3% of the country's total output. Semi-steel radial tires accounted for 36% of the country's total output. In the same year, the tire industry in Shandong achieved sales of 239.833 billion yuan, profits and taxes of 20.6533 billion yuan, and profits of 15.238 billion yuan. Delegates considered that the establishment of a tire industry chamber of commerce in Shandong Province has positive significance for the integration of the provincial and national resources, giving full play to its overall advantages, expanding opening to the outside world, and promoting the sustained, healthy and rapid development of the tire industry. At the same time, the solid industrial foundation of the region also provides ample space for the Chamber of Commerce.
